I've done that with a lot of songs that I learned... but in the end it was fun, and it seems easy to play now... songs that are easy to play right off the bat aren't really worth learning.
And Katie, I hope you do go pro, anyone who works hard in music should get somewhere...

I played guitar for a year and when i couldn't learn Raining Blood by Slayer I switched to bass (and also started to play easier songs) so I don't usually have those WTF am i supposed to do!?!?-moments... And now I play in a band that doesn't even have a name yet... Because we've been playing together for like a day or so... T

This summer at the first day of marching band, I remember looking at the music. I didn't play it, since I fucked it up everytime. But I can play it now

I can do just about any song on trumpet.
My school had a concert last Thursday with six songs.
Three of which were Micheal Jackson songs. Fuck yeah.
(Man in the mirror, I'll be there, Thriller.
On topic, one of the songs was Yankee Doodle.
I asked the music teacher if I could play a percussion drum for the song. Thankfully he said yes.
The entire song was just embarrassing to play in front of 400 people...

While to all of you it's nooby shit, playing Time Of Your Life by Green Day is difficult, mostly due to the fact my guitar teacher has told me to add the intro single plucking as well as having to strum up and down in the appropriate order.
