Basically, many of the things I've tried to record recently, have ended up with a rather large screech and/or a jumble of sounds that should have been much later in the video. This often leaves the video desynced and my ears bleeding. On top of that, the framerate is starting to suck. WhadoIdo?

Well what are you using? That could be half the problem surly you could record Warcraft III using a program like Fraps which uses a loss less codec and then just compress the video in something like Vegas or Camtasia. Granted I hear Camtasia makes an arse of the video when you compress Fraps files.

I've been using Microsoft Expression to record Warcraft III in Windowed Mode, though I'm beginning to have second thoughts. I know that Unregistered Hypercam 2 recorded Warcraft 3 fairly well, and the only problems I had with it were low quality, a gradual desync, and that watermark. I could probably use Fraps, but I'm too cheap to actually buy it...

There is a freeware program that behaves like fraps but for the life of me I can't remember the name. Anyway for most LP recordings you are best off forgetting about screen cap things like Camtasia and Camstudio because you end up with a border and it just looks stupid.
