It's A Website On The Internet
|
|
| It's been far too long. |
I sent Jon an e-mail asking him what he wants to do with the site.
I'm hoping we can axe the whole thing and start anew, and this time impliment some anti-spam measures. But it all depends on him.

| If You Were Curious... ( Plus Tournaments) |
The answer to the last poll was 8.
In the Gaming forum a bunch of people have started a few tournaments. One for Worms Armageddon (Run by WyvernSlayer and The Bear) and one for Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Run by CamoBullo). This has got me wondering, would you guys want more tournaments like this on a somewhat regular basis? Maybe a small gaming league for the site? Anything like that?
I put up a poll on the sidebar with some random suggestions for tournaments but I left an Other option there for people to suggest some games they'd like to see. Feel free to leave a comment with some recommendations if you have any.

| Brand New Podcast |
Edit: The Podcast has moved to a new site, link is below.
So as of late I've been getting back into recording videos, but I've also taken on another side project with some of my friends. We started recording a video game podcast (I know, it's an original idea) that we update weekly with gaming news, the stuff we're playing and so on. We just put up our first episode last night so I'd like to introduce you guys to the Top Down Perspective:
http://topdownperspective.podbean.com/
Hosted by Nathan (Kraznor), Sean (Angel Gamer, although I think he used something stupid on here like Proton Sean) and myself, we'll be updating weekly and I'll link to it on the main page. Any comments, critiques, etc would be nice as we're all kinda new to this. The link above will let you download the MP3, subscribe VIA iTunes or just stream it. Hope you guys enjoy it.

| Addressing Death |
There seem to be many things to cover, so let me get right to the point:
JON IS NOT DEAD.
Now, if you're a typical Proton Jon fan, you may be asking yourself: "But Mr. Kelekin, how do you know he is not dead? He hasn't logged on to Youtube in a month!"
Fear not, courage-lacking nerd voted most likely to live in their parents basement until they are 30! Proton Jon is not dead!
"But you aren't saying how he is not dead!! I know you're his roommate, but how do you know he's not dead!?!?!?"
Oh nerd who will undergo years of therapy after LPing stops being popular, most of what you are suspecting can be answered with a few simple and unfortunately unnecessary explanations!
"PLZ TELL ME KELEKIN BEFORE I END MY LIFE!"
Do not end your life, my not-really friend! You have many years of disappointment to look forward to, and you don't want it to end so abruptly. So here are the answers you seek:
Reasoning as to Jon not being dead
There are many reasons I can list as to why Jon is not dead. While we may not be roommates any longer, we happen to co-exist in a realm outside youtube. We generally call this realm "Friendship", which, I do understand many of you don't understand the concept of because your sheer oddness causes most people to run and hide.
Jon hasn't logged into his Youtube account in quite some time, yes, I know. This can be explained easily by the fact that we spent two weeks cleaning and preparing to move, so going on to Youtube wasn't really a priority. Now you might say "Well, it's been a couple weeks since then!" Yes, it has - weeks in which Jon hasn't even had his new internet set up yet.
Other proof I can offer as to Jon being alive would be the fact that I saw him a few days ago, and he's pretty alive.
In reality, I shouldn't have to explain any of this, but your attempts at logical deduction cease to exist. There is nothing more to say on this matter. Jon is alive, so drop it, and move on.

| I Am Not Here |
Hey gang, just a quick post for those wondering what the hell happened to me. I'm still alive, just been busy with work and real life. I'm going out of the country for the next little while but when I get back TKO will be finished the following week with a daily release of videos (Yes, as in one a day). I will also be starting the previously constantly delayed projects Ninja Gaiden Black and Superman 64 in May along with a side LP for Machinima.com, and won't be taking on any other projects until these three are done.
So yeah, as long as I don't get arrested or deported I'll see you guys in two weeks.

| Guideline Reminder: Double-posting |
Apparently, not too many people are reading the rules.
Recently, I've been going around the forums, finding many, many double posts. So I have to take time to edit the second post, copy what was written, then delete the post. Then I have to go back to the original post and add the copied bit.
And also, there is a huge difference between "bumping" and "double posting". A "bump" is made when the thread falls off the front page, and the thread starter posts once to bring it back to the first page. You may only bump after one day. A "double post" is when a member posts twice in a row, within a day.
I'm not going to take action anytime soon, I'm just reminding you guys that double posting is against the rules, which can be found here.
Thanks, -Raian

| And we're back! |
Many apoligizes for the downtime we had at around midnight on December 23rd. Problems with FTP moved a needed directory into a different directory, breaking the code and sutff. But it's all back. So enjoy. Sorry about that.
